Both the Fosterville and Stawell Gold Mines are committed in ensuring good community relations by maintaining their commitment to keep local residents and surrounding communities informed of the Company’s operations. Both mines produce community newsletters and operate Environmental Review Committees that involve community representatives along with government regulators. These meetings are open to all community members. Updates to inform residents of changes to conditions on the mine sites are also provided, as well as meetings to discuss andplan major infrastructure changes. Regular contact is made with residents closest to the operations to ensure that any impactsare minimized. To further our commitment to community relations, both mine sites hold public open days annually as well as conducting school, university and industry based site tours.
Fosterville's public open day is November 14th, 2009. Please see newsletter for further information.
