The Boulevard Property is held jointly by Northgate and Rimfire Minerals, and is located approximately 135 kilometres south of Dawson City, Yukon.
During a trenching program at the Boulevard Property
in the summer of 2008, Northgate and Rimfire
investigated a 1.2 km by 0.4 km gold-arsenic-
antimony soil geochemical anomaly. Gold bearing
mineralization, including 7.04 g/t gold over
6.0 metres, was discovered in two of the three
trenches over a 300 metre trend.
A diamond drilling program is now currently
underway, consisting of four to six holes averaging
150 metres in length. The program is expected to
be completed in Q4 2008.
Northgate and Rimfire have an exploration alliance agreement (signed in December 2005) to explore for gold deposits in west-central Yukon, in which each company has funded the initial Cdn$330,000 in targeting and exploration that led to staking of the property. To date, Northgate has funded approximately Cdn$435,000 of the required Cdn$1.5 million in exploration expenditures to earn an additional 10% interest (for a total of 60%) in the property.
